RL has been chowing me down like a BK slider this week. I thought I'd be able to make time to tag, b-b-but clearly that has not happened.

Blade has been in Gerian's library devouring information. :U Gods have been off doing god shit. I will try to get my butt in gear at some point this weekend, though I'm working all weekend too; still checking the modbox of course.

✒ After seeing the rhythm of things for these first two weeks, we'd like to remind people that the speed of memory delivery is always under player control. If you want to speed things up for the first couple of memories to give your character more to latch onto, that would be very valid.

✒ Babalon's Task of Divinity is tomorrow night! Tentatively 7 PM EST, and in this case there will be a pre-game mingle and sign-in at 6 PM! Though if moving it later will make it easier for you, please let me know here; there's no reason it can't be, I've just been defaulting to 7 with everything. I'm aiming for ~4 hours playtime, not counting mingle. Playing in teams this time! :D But if only one person can make it, they'll play with their partner team--hence the sign-in. Coming late and leaving early is possible, but may require some IC shenanigans. If you character wouldn't ICly volunteer to play in a Task of Divinity but you still want them to play, Babs will offer a physical skill quest in advance to anyone who plays and does not wish to count the task as a Divinity waystation if they win. :)

✒ If nobody else wants a spot next week, I'll run a little Task of Simplicity with '-' in the Sphere of Light on Thursday night. It will involve discernment, self-explication, creativity, and potential ridiculousness.

So, I'm going to be on a business trip for a week. While I should have internet*, I'll also be busy either doing work things or decompressing. So, I'm going to be spotty, and probably note most of my energy to continuing existing threads when I can roleplay.

Because it's only a week, I don't think Tarrlok needs to have wandered into the mists or anything. Assume he's around. The Luidaeg hasn't done much, so she has no protege duties (and I think the task calendar is full that week anyway). I'll keep an eye on OK God if I can.

* No guarantees. This is an academic conference. I've been at plenty that overwhelm the conference hotel's internet. Scientists may be the only people who can stand up to fans in terms of data usage problems.

Hi, guys!

I would like a heads-up of who's likely to be able to make Yeine's task, this Tuesday, 7:00 PM EST. The reason I ask is cause I'm going to need an even number of people for it to work, and I'd like to know whether I'll be throwing Roxy in or not. (She won't be able to win, but she'll provide balance if necessary.) Yes, this game will be run in pairs. I guess you can also comment here and tell me if there's anyone also playing you'd really like to be paired with.

Due to the number balancing, ~~this will unfortunately not be a game you can show up late to~~. Oh, screw it, just talk to me. Though more than an hour late is probably pushing it. However, if the timing is tricky for a lot of people, we can totally negotiate. I am flexible.

✒ This Saturday, starting at 6 pm, Persephone is running a Task of Liberty in the Sphere of Matter. It will involve exploration.
✒ Tuesday the 9th, Yeine is running a Task of Liberty in the Sphere of Energy. It will involve heavy discussion and elements of roleplay.
✒ And next Saturday, the 13th, Babalon is running a Task of Divinity in the Sphere of Silence. It will involve interesting choices. :)

✒ We're going to try to pick up the pace with IC time movement just a little, since we've not managed to get to the end of the first day yet. Also throwing up posts of your own is always encouraged!

✒ All right, it's activity check day--yeah, no, screw it. :D We'll do the first activity check on November 1st, and only threads made at least partially during October will count. You're all fine for September, given that we had very limited play time. <3

✒ The first task will be tomorrow night, Tuesday, at 7 PM EST. There's no pre-task mingle, since the task itself is kind of a guided mingle with activities; there'll be a turn-in form for scoring due at midnight EST, but you can keep playing after that if you want to because fun things are happening. (And I'll try to get winners up as soon as possible after midnight so you know whether you're solid.) Coming late is totally okay; leaving early is totally okay as long as you turn in your form if you want to be scored. Gods are also encouraged to come by! Obviously they won't be scored, but this task is mostly just an excuse for silly CR-building activities, and if you think it would be fun to throw your god in for that, you're very welcome to.

✒ Persephone will be running a task this Saturday, at 6 PM EST. More on that later~

✒ For interested gods: we'll have info up on how to grab slots to run tasks this Friday. :D Scheduling is going to be a little complicated by concerns of balancing both grades of tasks and spheres that they run in, but we'll try to make things as straightforward as possible for you.

As luck would have it my laptop broke yesterday and I need to call a hiatus for about a week as I don't know when I'll be able to get a new one. Ranniel will be off tending to non-Kohos business and her door in the Sphere of Space will reflect this by being locked and silent (as opposed to...not either of those things). Teresa will have to intro whenever I have regular laptop access again. Sorry Fences & Nails. :'(

✒ The game will be opening to ghosts shortly! \o/ A mod post will go up detailing some more world additions, and then we're out of the awkward prequel stage and into normal play. Anyone can start a post, etcetera.

✒ We know there were some delays in patronage assignments and pre-intros, largely due to the wonder-twin power-team of sick mods. ._. It's completely up to you whether you want to intro now and backthread your pre-intro thread. We figure people will be trickling in over the weekend.

✒ Ghosts - if you haven't filled out your form here yet, please do so!

✒ The first task, a task of simplicity in the sphere of balance (a.k.a. chaos runs a meet'n'greet party), will be on Tuesday, October 2nd, at 7 pm est, and it will be pretty freeform and mingly and run all night. (Unless y'all want it sooner! I could also run it Sunday or Monday.)

✒ We'll probably be running a starting set of about four or five various tasks with our gods, just to get the ball rolling. Within the next week or so, though, we'll put up a "hi I want to run this task" form so that we can start scheduling things. '^'

We've been getting apps and we are very excited! And it occurred to us that having a set deadline, rather than "eh we'll start when we get enough," might help things move more smoothly. So:

If you want to be in the first round of god placements, please app before midnight of Sunday, September 16th. We will also do an initial round of ghost app acceptances, though not placements, at that time; this means that we can start getting those ghosts patrons rather than doing it all in a horrible rush and put up a list of accepted characters for curious canonmates. (This will also lock those characters to those applicants.) We'll put up an IC event for the starting group of gods at some point, most likely Saturday the 22nd, though it'll largely be a mingle that you can pick at for a while.

If you want to be in the first round of ghost placements, please app before midnight of Sunday, September 23rd. You can also app any time after that, you just won't be amongst the first ghosts placed or in the first teams created. (We're aiming for six teams/eighteen ghosts, but it could be more if we get a lot more apps.) We'll then get the rest of the ghosts patrons and work out team placements; we'll aim to announce the starting teams by mid-week and open the game for IC ghost intros on Saturday the 29th.

We've created a calendar of game events here. We'll also be working to get the world description and some other relevant information up within the next few days, so keep an eye out.

Kohos is now open to apps!

What the hell is this, you ask? It is yet another DWRP, is what! Kohos is a small panfandom afterlife RP focusing on character development, memory regain, and divine guidance of varying sorts, with the goal of creating a highly customizable and personalized experience for its players. We're juuust getting off the ground, and we ask you to bear with us while we get our butts in gear, but there's a batch of overly wordy info on how the game works here, and the app page is here. We hope to start play with some gods, at least ten or so, as soon as possible, and then bringing in a starting group of about twenty PCs after that. So app, app away!

Ghosts - We're looking for characters from any fandom, as long as they have enough screen time to have a distinct personality and background. Unfortunately we can't accept AU characters, OCs, or characters from previous RPs, because amnesia complicates things. Canonically dead characters not necessary! We can be flexible around that. It's easiest to app characters who have a lot to gain from a second chance at life and an opportunity to develop their awesomeness.

Gods - We're looking for gods from virtually any source--existing myths or legends, warped versions thereof, fandom characters, complete OCs. Canonically godmode characters not necessary! We can be flexible around that. It's easiest to app characters who have a lot to gain from befriending, mentoring, encouraging, bullying, teaching, tickling, or otherwise making their presence known in the lives of hapless mortals.
